Inspired by her background and knowledge in luxurious fabrics and rich pigments, Monica has launched her own jewelry brand MO by Monica creating a range of bracelets, necklaces and earrings and bracelets. Through her entirely handmade, one-of-a-kind jewelry, she offers intensity and beauty mixed with boho-luxe spirit.

Born in the Netherlands, Monica was immersed and raised in a world filled with wondrous fabrics of the well-known family business that supplies the royal family as well as the most renowned fashion houses. After graduating from Amsterdam's Vogue Academy and New York's Fashion Institute of Technology, she worked for two years – first in Paris, then in New York – in fashion design agencies.
Monica subsequently embarked on a journey to the very source of color – India – in order to complete her training. In this enchanted land, she discovered pigments in their unadulterated form, the ancient manufacturing techniques as well as a-thousand-and-one different hues.

Returning to the Netherlands, she created a whole collection of upmarket scarves with a luxurious mix of fabric and material. She found instant success with her Zaz range which was sold worldwide in trendy and cosmopolitan stores such as le Bon Marché, Joyce, Harrod's and Gio Moretti. At that time, she also initiated collaborations with several top brands – Etro, Gérard Darel and Louis Féraud.

Now she is releasing her own jewellery brand ‘MO by MONICA, a brand that she designs with love and bliss in her Saint-Germain-des-Près studio in Paris.
Through her jewelry – entirely handmade one-of-a-kind bracelets, necklaces and earrings – she declares her love of colors. The cotton and silk threads intertwine in an explosion of color and combine with gold- or silver-plated chains and cuffs. Monica pours little drops of soul into each and every one of her pieces by adding pearls, semi-precious stones and her little ‘lucky M’ – the symbol of her brand and identity. A set of magnets fastens each of her creations.

Her collections have already delighted many women and are available in well-known Parisian stores such as Hod, By Marie, Vestiaire Collective, Saiki and The Space.
